This is a very beautiful Lacquer Painting by one of the most well-known artist in Vietnam of the 20th. century.

Title of Painting : Palace in Hue

Media : Lacquer on Wood.

Size : 240.0 X 120.0 Cm. in 3 panels

Artist : Do Xuan Doan

Do Xuan Doan ( Hanoi, Vietnam , 1937 )

He graduated from Fiune Arts University Hanoi in 1961. The painting style of Do Xuan Doan is followed the style of his master, Nguyen Gai Tri, the all time greatest lacquer paintng artist of Vietnam.

The unique style of the color using in his painting is Blazing Orange Red and Banana Green .

His work is exibited in all over Vietnam and oversea, such as , Singapore and Hong Kong.

Recently, his works were chosen by one the of the 5 stars Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Park Hyatt Saigon, to be displayed in all Ballrooms in the HGotel.

This company was formed by 2 persons name, Thanh Le and Le Thanh .

This is a Japanese animal bronze statue fighting.

The expression on the face of these two animals,bear and crocodile, have shown in great action.

We believe this is an early 19th century art of work. Please see photo No. 6 for the name of the artist who created this work.

General condition is good, except the tip of the right ear of the bear was cut, please see photo No. 5. We believe the cutting is to test whether the statue is cast from gold or not.

Size : 26.0cm X 13cm.
