Sukhothai or Sangkhalok Ware is the name given to ceramic wares that were produced by a number of kilns in the Sukhothai Province during the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya periods (from early 14th to 16th centuries). They were also known as Sawankhalok Wares. This plate is part of the recently found cargoes from a shipwreck and still in good condition. Design : With everted, flattened foliated rim.Deep green crackled glaze,incised in relief with a flower head medallion in the center, the onion skin on the cavetto designs Please see more details on enlargement photos. Size : 29.0 Cm. X 7.5 Cm. Body Condition : One chip on the outer mouth rim.Please refer to picture # 05 for detail.The rest is in good condition, no further chip or crack, no repair.
