Ancient Egyptian, New Kingdom Period, 18th - 20th Dynasties, c. 1500-1000 B.C. An intact bronze bell pendant, intact with its original clapper within; one of the world's first bells, bells were known in Ancient Egyptian temples, and perhaps in every day use. Measuring approximately 22 mm., 7/8" in length, and in wonderful condition, this bell still rings!! We may read of the Ancient Egyptians, but this is how we may hear what they heard; one of the world's first bells. Rare.
