Sold to China Thank You

The workmanship on this snuff bottle is really fantastic. The colored glass enameling is full of air bubbles. It's very unusual in that it has the dragon in brass relief. The colors are very vibrant and crisp. It's possible that this bottle is older then what I have it listed as. It measures 2 3/4 inches high with the lid on.

The detail on the piece of art is really amazing, it really tells a story. It has an agate top and measures just over eight cm's high by 6. 5 wide and about 3.5 deep. The height is including the agate top. The glass is very thick. As you can see in the one picture there are some small chips to the inside rim. Otherwise it is in excellent condition. Twentieth Century date.

$850.00

This double sided Tapa is most likely from the South Pacific (Samoa or Fiji). It had been stored in a folded condition for a very long time so there is some damage as you can see. The colors are still very vibrate, you can almost see the artist painting them, they are so alive. The fiber is very thin indicating that this is an older one probably from around 1900. A very unusual feature is the different designs on both sides of the cloth. Size: 78 x 103 inches (6.5 x 8.6 feet) Shipping: Fre ...click for details

SOLD - Thank You

This large "jade tree" has a most unusual base, I have not been able to find another one like this. It is very well executed and is in excellent condition there are perhaps two petals missing, nothing else wrong at all. The white stone appears to be jade, the brown and green are agate, the purple is amethyst, the pink is rose quartz and I'm not sure what the yellow stone is. The little buds on the amethyst are clear quartz. Size: 19 inches high and 17 inches wide including the ba ...click for details

This print by Shotei is in its original frame with a hand drawn Art Deco design. This is clearly the original frame done around 1936 when this woodblock appeared in the publishers (Watanabe Shozaburo) catalogue. The famers label is still affixed to the back of the frame. The print is 6 1/2 by 14 7/8 ("tanzaku"). The frame is 15 1/2 x 21 & 1/2 inches in size. This is a excellent original print by this well know artist. As this is the original frame I would prefer to leave this ...click for details
