Very large wooden drum carved out of one piece of Jack wood. Used during Buddhist ceremonies such as POYA day ( Moon festival). The skin is missing. Sri Lanka,19 century. Good Condition.
Large and unique wooden trunk from the Southern part of Sri Lanka, early 19 century. The trunk itself is standing on two massif separate foots beautifully carved. The entire piece is made of Jack wood. All metallic elements are original including the two large inches. Inspirited from the Dutch period, the design of this trunk is very unusable for Sri Lanka. Large rectangular wooden chest from Sri Lanka, early 19 Century. Made out of Jack wood and royal ebony , the lock and the key are original. This kind of chest was originally used to distribute staff salary working on the tea plantation during the Dutch period. The condition is good.
