Finely carved Chinese clear rock crystal snuff bottle with classic shape, flanked on two sides with slightly grooved panels for comfortable holding. Very elegant, yet simply design with highly scholar's taste. Low, recessed footing, and there are two mirrored round panel on both faces. Circa 18th c. This is a finely carved Chinese hardstone snuff bottle, I am not quite sure of the material. But It seems it is more of a quartz conglomerate type than a jasper. Its pattern is very interesting with various swirled semi-circles against a greyish olive ground. With very nice small oval footing. Circa 1850's; Size:2 3/4 inches tall. Shipping is $6.00
