| Original pencil drawing displaying a Chinese woman in Canton carrying water through the gate. This vintage original pencil drawing was done by Louise Campbell [Billie] Mei, born in Kansas in the early 1890s, was a cartoonist for the Tokyo Advertiser when she met Granddad in Canton during the First World War. They were world travellers and settled in Victoria, B.C., by the sea. The drawing is excellent done with nice composition, and with artist seal on the lower right. Circa 1920's. Drawing size is 9x 12 1/2 inches, and with minor age crease bend on the image as shown, but really affecting the beauty of it. Shipping is $10.00 | ||
