| Chinese Store, A scene shot around Shanghai. Vintage 1910's B/W Original Photograph of Shanghai. This is among a group of very fine and rarer images of Shanghai from a thin album with some family photos. Some photos are dated Jan 24, 1916. One family photo which has a oval stamp of " Rembrandt Photo Co. on the back, and details of this stamp is as the following: " Rembrandt Photo Co., Photographers, Photo Supplies, Books, Periodicals, etc.etc. 3 N. Soochow Rd, Shanghai, China. None of photos from the album have the same stamp on the back, each one of them have a pencil numbering such as 241, 23, 478, etc. etc. on the back though, and each image has a hand-written ink title near the edge. All images from this group are wonderful, insightful shots and all were well-composed seemingly from a professional hand, rahter than random selection of the scenes from an amature photographer. The details are incredible with excellent tones and contrast in excellent condition considering the age. Circa 1910's. Image size is 4 x 6 inches. Condition: Excellent.
