THIS ITEM IS RESERVED.

This is a fantastic piece. It's an ancient Egyptian Naqada II Period Pottery Lug-Handled Jar painted profusely with ibis, Oryx and geometric designs overall. Two perforated lugs protrude from the sides, and the delicate disc rim is decorated with wavy line patterns.

Measures: 4.5" (11.4 cm) tall and 7" (17.8 mm) wide across the handles.

Condition: one tiny crack to the rim, but it's stable and not needing any repair or restoration. There are a couple of flea-bites on the lugs, as expected from a piece that was used in ancient times for utilitarian purposes. A fantastic piece in perfect condition dating from the earliest horizon of the Egyptian civilization.

Provenance provided to purchaser.

$495 USD

This is a very nice, and wonderfully well-provenanced ancient Egyptian bronze Osiris figure. Dating to the Late Period, circa 26th - 30th Dynasty. Made in Middle Egypt, as indicated by the hands joining in the middle. When hands are crossed, or together like this, or placed one above the other, this positioning indicates the region of manufacture. The piece is solid-cast, not hollow-cast.

The provenance is as good as it gets. Blanchard's Egyptian Museum, which was located in Cairo, sold many fine genuine ancient pieces before the sale of Egyptian artifacts from Egypt was made unlawful. The sales tag on the underside of the base is original, and very collectible itself. Most major museum collections in the world possess pieces acquired from Blanchard's.

This piece measures 114 mm tall including permanent base. It's a substantial piece in near choice condition. No repairs or restoraions whatsoever. A great opportunity to own a classic piece of ancient Egyptian history.

More recent provenance provided to purchaser, as well.

WAS - $725 USD - New Price - $650 USD!!!

This is a beautiful shabti. Dating to the Saite Period in Egyptian history, circa 672 - 525 BC, otherwise known as the 26th Dynasty.

Such an expressive face. His large nose and bulging eyes typical for this period. He sports a very stylish, braided beard, a characteristic typical of shabtis in the Late Period.

His implements are intact - a pick in one hand, a hoe in the other and a seed sack slung over his left shoulder for sowing the fields for his owner in the afterlife.

He's profusely inscribed. His name is Ankh-Hor.

He measures 112 mm (4.44") tall.

He has suffered a single break to his waist, but that was repaired some time ago, and there is a small abrasion to the glaze on the lappet wig behind his right ear. Otherwise. the piece is in choice condition.

A wonderful piece.

Provenance is provided to purchaser.

This fine item has been sold.

This is a spectacular item. Made of tura limestone, this profusely inscribed ancient Egyptian limestone fragment is part of an offering table dedicated with Wennefer, as seen on the bottom left (Hare)= U, water = n, esophagus and stomach glyph = Nefer, all making Unnefer, or Wennefer, which was an Epithet of Osiris meaning "Eternally Incorruptible" - referring to his ressurection from the dead.

Rameses I reigned at the start of the 19th Dynasty, circa 1292-1290 BC. This short reign of Rameses I makes this piece EXCEEDINGLY rare.

The cartouche of Rameses I can be seen in the bottom-right corner.

This piece is a fragment of a much larger piece, and measures 90.74 mm long, 84 mm tall and 17 mm thick.

For reference, please see last two attached photos, which have been scanned from Jurgen von Beckerath's Handbuch der Agyptischen Konigsnamen, pages 148, 149. # T 4.

This piece is delicately incised, and was carved by a master. Price on request. Provenance provided to purchaser.
