This is a fine, clay horse and rider figure dating to the early centuries AD. This piece is Parthian, from the eastern fringes of the Roman Empire. It depicts a horse and rider, a popular theme with this culture whom used to engage the Romans on a regular basis in battle. Measures: 3.78" (96 mm) tall. Condition: reparied, as seen. A fine example in great condition. Very nicely articulated face, depicting a strong nose and large beard. Provenance provided to purchaser.
