This is a superb Inca kero from Peru, ca. 1400 AD. An excellent example measuring 2.5" tall and 2.3" in diameter. Carved from heavy hardwood. Profusely incised with intricate diamond and chevron registers. In wonderful condition, with excellent mineral deposits and root encrustations. Decorated incisions retain their original cinnabar red.Provenance provided to purchaser.
