This is a nice, ancient Daunian pottery vessel handle. A great study piece for the collector or student interested in form and fabric of ancient Italic pottery wares.
The insignia is engraved with a horned beast, perhaps a bull, which could point to this ring being Mithraic.
The ring is intact with an excellent, even, brown-green patina classic of Greek bronze objects. Very desirable and wearable example.
