Amarna faience is by FAR the most sought after by discriminating collectors. It's bright colours and detailed depictions illustrate the pinnacle of Egyptian expression in the medium of faience. This fantastically rare object typifies this highest standard of faience production. This is an exceedingly rare piece of faience from the Amarna Period, circa the reign of Akhenaten - 1353-1336 BCE. The piece measures 22 mm. Condition: ring band is missing, but this bezel is complete and excellent. Provenance provided to purchaser. |
