Very Fine Ancient Egyptian Faience Shabti - Ptah Hotep
This is a lovely shabti. Wears a tripartite wig, with excellent facial details, inscribed with a horizontal band and vertical column in engraved hieroglyphic, inscribed for Ptah-hotep.

Inscription Reads:

The illuminated Osiris, the Lord of the force, God's servant Ptah-hotep, justified, born of Ta-weret, justified.

The inscription is written in the classical order:

1. Osiris-Title

2. Title of the deceased: Lord of the force, godīs servant (see Petrie, Shabtis, Pl. XIII, Nr. 580)

3. Name of Deceased : Ptah-hotep (Ptah is satisfied)

4. Affiliation: born of Ta-weret (the great)

This piece dates to the end of the Late Period, based on the T-band form of inscription.
