This is a beautiful pair of deep-purple, amethyst beads carved from rich amethyst. They date to the Old Kingdom in Egyptian history, circa 2575 - 2450 BCE. These beads are perfectly preserved, and measure 8.73 mm and 8.77 mm in diameter, respectively. These would likely have adorned a large, pectoral necklace. Provenance provided to purchaser. |
