This is a fantastic piece. Depicting a Wedjat, or Eye of Horus, this piece is one of the finest examples of it's type on the market. Rendered in the finest, deep aqua-coloured faience with details in black pigment. It's mounted in a hefty, hallmarked gold brooch which is in perfect condition as well. Measures: 53 mm (2.1") in length and 43.8 mm (1.73") tall. Condition: PRISTINE! No chips or cracks or repairs whatsoever. Dating: Third Intermediate Period (circa 1000 BC). Provenance provided to purchaser. |
