Ingeniously carved horn bird peers quizzically at you. He’s 11.25 inches long but stands about 8 inches high.I have no idea as to his nationality, but I know he has some age, because he has a small age split on one leg. Even though he’s also missing the outside toe/claw on each foot, it doesn’t seem to affect his ability to stand. Probably 1940 - 1960. See photos.
This is an unusual old “Early American” pattern(?) pressed glass footed condiment dish or compote. It is 4.25" tall, with a 5.75" diameter flared top and has a 3" diameter foot. Circa 1895-1920's. It’s also a nice size for serving candy and nuts. Excellent condition-shiny with no damage of any sort.
