From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a beautiful vintage Persian rug circa 1925-1950 from Isfahan Province, featuring wool on cotton construction utilizing a vibrant palette of strong red, strong blue, and cream as the main colors of the central field, along with secondary accent colors of brown, peach, mint green, two other shades of blue, and rose pink. From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a handsome Caucasus accent rug, early 20th century, featuring wool on wool construction using red, two different blues, dark green, black, peach, orange and gray. A very nice unpretentious example with good character. Though there is a fairly wide spectrum of colors used, the main feeling is mostly of red, gray, and blue, and the overall palette is quite subdued, making this piece very useable in a variety of different decors.

From our Chinese Polychrome Collection, a good famille rose barber's bowl, Yongzheng Period (1723-1735), nicely executed in floral sprig pattern using lively and well-preserved famille rose enamels in rose, blue, aubergine, yellow, green, orange, and opaque white. Dressed on the rim edge with Batavia Brown / iron oxide finish typical for the period.
