Carved Yaozhou bowl with peony design. Northern Song period. Small conical bowl rise from a small circular foot and culminate in a sharply upturned lip rim. The interior of this bowl features a carved and combed design of a single large peony blossom surrounded by foliage which is encircled by a single incised line. 14.5cm

Jin Dynasty. This bowl has a low foot, rounded sides and thicheded, lightly grooved band around the exterior of the lip. The interior is carved with a single lotus blossom and adjacent leaf flanked by curling scroll patterns. 17.8cm.

Extremely large carved Yaozhou Bowl. Early Northern Song period. One of the most beautiful carved Yaozhou large bowl sample. Robustly potted, supported on a short slightly splayed foot. The foot left unglazed revealing the body burnt russet-range in the firing. Due to the condition, this piece is for scholar and connoisseur of Yaozhou ware. 23.5cm.
