Some of the most amazing Tiffany repoussé work we've seen. Plate, heavy, with beautiful, elaborate repoussé figures depicting four tableaus on nursery rhyme court life, engraved "Irving Cohen / From Uncle Abe and Aunt Emma, / November 5th 1905" 6-7/8" W and 1/2" H. Lucky Irving. Truly wonderful.
Shreve early set of seven (7) teaspoons, each with angled tab end, hammered surfaces. Two have applied "P" monograms, and one of these has 1913 engraved on the back. One has an applied "A" monogram, with 1910 engraved on the back. Two have engraved "A" monograms, with 1911 engraved on the back of one and 1912 engraved on the back of the other. Mulholland tray, handwrought, oval, with small notches at end, concave body on small oval ring foot. Very modern looking, with beautiful hammering. Mulholland compote, striking, handwrought, rectangular, with flat rim and wide elliptical hollow stem. Very unusual shape and nice soft hammering. Rectangular foot and tray top have rounded corners and four lobes, with two indentations in the corners between the lobes. Engraved AVM mono on top of foot. Fairly heavy. Mulholland bowl, massive, four lobed, rectangular with rounded edges, handwrought, on large rounded rectangular raised foot. Slightly higher at the ends. Applied wire to rim. Very heavy and in original condition. Merrill Shops napkin ring, oval, with engraved picture of girl with shepherd's crook in front of fence with mountain and house in background and "LITTLE-BO-PEEP" below. The Merrill Shops was an early Arts and Crafts New York City silversmith that produced handwrought items. 2" L and 7/8" W and 5/8" H.
Large copper hand-hammered bowl, round with flat bottom and applied silver B mono. Recently cleaned outside. Nice shape and size. Nice rough handmade exterior. We left the patina on the silver monogram intact, but it could easily be cleaned and polished. 8-3/4" W and 3-1/2" H. Unsigned.
