Shreve jug, early, with flat bottom, small spout protruding just slightly above top rim, applied wire to rim, long hollow handle indented at the ends where it joins the main body. Across the body is a chased detailed scene of a bird on a branch with fruit and blossoms, beside a butterfly in flight and initials DJW. Gold wash inside. Excellent condition, superb chasing. Shreve used the Bee mark from 1883 until 1909. A wonderful object in form and decoration. 3-5/8" H and 5-1/4" W.
Some of the most amazing Tiffany repoussé work we've seen. Plate, heavy, with beautiful, elaborate repoussé figures depicting four tableaus on nursery rhyme court life, engraved "Irving Cohen / From Uncle Abe and Aunt Emma, / November 5th 1905" 6-7/8" W and 1/2" H. Lucky Irving. Truly wonderful.
Shreve early set of seven (7) teaspoons, each with angled tab end, hammered surfaces. Two have applied "P" monograms, and one of these has 1913 engraved on the back. Mulholland compote, striking, handwrought, rectangular, with flat rim and wide elliptical hollow stem. Very unusual shape and nice soft hammering. Rectangular foot and tray top have rounded corners and four lobes, with two indentations in the corners between the lobes. Engraved AVM mono on top of foot. Fairly heavy.
