Made fashionable by Queen Victoria's fondness for Scotland, and dating back to the use of curative charmstones, these delicate, colorful pieces were made of stones quarried in the Scottish hills cut and polished into tessellated shapes in solid silver frames. We have one of the largest Kalo jewelry collections in the world (see our main chicagosilver-dot-com website) and have long been looking for a piece of Kalo jewelry in copper. When we found this online, advertised as made by Kalo, we had to see it. As you can guess, it wasn't produced by the Kalo Shop. Classic George Jensen double tulip or bell-flower pin with green stone. These are usually seen with moonstones, or an occasional lapis. We purchased it because we thought the green (chalcedony?) worked well with the floral theme. Typically fine Jensen execution. Nicely hammered surface. 1-11/16" H and 1-1/4" W.

Lovely silver link bracelet, six rectangular open links each with a different applied silver blossom or group of flowers. Delicate but heavy. Traces of gilding in the centers of some of the blossoms. We're not sure where this came from or what the actual silver content is, since it's marked simply SILVER. But the flowers are very pretty, and work well on the cutout frames. 6-3/4" L and 9/16" W.
