Fine Jensen oval silver box with hinged lid. Wide applied wire to base with additional chased-line ornament. Chased rose and leaves on slightly domed lid. Engraved on bottom: "KAREN / JULEAFTEN 1930." Designed by Gundorph Albertus. Heavy, and as with all Jensen pieces of this period, extremely well made. With original padded cushion inside. 4-15/16" W and 3-15/16" D and 1-3/8" H.

Friedell small plate, handwrought, round with flat bottom, wide raised edge, upturned folded-over edge, elaborate repoussé EGK mono in script on edge. Hammered surfaces. Clemens Friedell worked on Gorham's prestigious Martelé line, and moved to California where he catered to the carriage trade. His work is highly regarded, with excellent hammering and incredible ornate chased and repoussé monograms like the one here. 5-15/16" W.
