Fine Jensen oval silver box with hinged lid. Wide applied wire to base with additional chased-line ornament. Chased rose and leaves on slightly domed lid. Engraved on bottom: "KAREN / JULEAFTEN 1930." Designed by Gundorph Albertus. Heavy, and as with all Jensen pieces of this period, extremely well made. Eicher napkin ring, handwrought, with rounded ends, engraved "Florence" in script on front, very nice hammering. The stamped number "1" in the mark indicates that this was probably an early piece. 2-3/4" L and 5/8" H. Heinrich A. Eicher was a former Kalo silversmith who set up a shop with his wife Anna in Park Ridge, IL. He produced Kalo-quality objects, and unfortunately met a tragic end.
