Clemens Friedell Arts & Crafts Silver Picture Frame

Friedell picture frame, large, handwrought, rectangular, with hammered surfaces, ornate repoussé monogram on the bottom edge, over wood and cloth backing with hinged wooden support. Clemens Friedell worked on Gorham's prestigious Martelé line, and moved to California where he catered to the carriage trade. His work is highly regarded, with excellent hammering and incredible ornate chased and repoussé monograms like the one here. 8-1/4" W and 11" H and 9/16" D.
