| Small handmade oval sterling bowl by Alfredo Sciarrotta, Italian-born silversmith smuggled into the US during WWII to assist with submarine warfare. He later set up a shop in Newport, RI where he created handmade silver items. His most familiar objects are small dishes resembling leaves. This bowl is somewhat unusual, and very modern, clean, and simple. A thick undulating wire creates four small feet below the sleek cupped body. 6" L and 3-1/2" W and 1-7/8" H. | ||
