| Kalo model 5811 bowl with wonderful engraved monogram. The Kalo Shop produced dozens of bowls, but the model 5811, or "lotus bowl," was its most popular, and became a Kalo trademark. With its lovely convex, tulip-like lobes that tapered in at the top, and were decorated with heavy curved applied wire, and its small wide self-foot, this object is a classic Arts & Crafts icon. Some models like this one had elaborate engraved monograms. The 5811 bowl was produced for decades, but this is a fine early example from the Chicago / NY pre-1920 years. The surface has some wear, but nothing that detracts from this lovely example. Note: We are offering a similar 5811 bowl with an applied monogram. 8-1/2" W and 2-5/8" H.
