| Kalo model 5811 bowl with handsome applied monogram. The Kalo Shop produced dozens of bowls, but the model 5811, or "lotus bowl," was its most popular, and became a Kalo trademark. With its lovely convex, tulip-like lobes that tapered in at the top, and were decorated with heavy curved applied wire, and its small wide self-foot, this object is a classic Arts & Crafts icon. Some models like this one had striking applied monograms. This is a particularly interesting piece since it has a very unusual Kalo mark. The surface has some wear, but nothing that detracts from this lovely example. Note: We are offering a similar 5811 bowl with an engraved monogram. 9" W and 2-7/8" H.
