| Whimsical Austrian or Vienna bronze bird, cold painted. Walnut is hinged and opens; possibly an inkwell? Beautifully painted with some wear. Unmarked. 3" L and 1-1/2" W and 1-3/4" H. Austrian or Vienna bronzes are heavy, beautifully hand-crafted decorative objects made in Vienna beginning in the middle of the 19th century. Produced using lost-wax casting, they were individually detailed and "cold-painted" by master craftsmen. | ||
