Designer Notes:

The roses in this piece were designed as a sculpture
to be applied on the “canvas” formed by the front of the console
built to accompany our roses table.
The treatment of the console roses is different from the those
in the table making the two pieces a coherent set
of distinctly asymmetrical components;
different flower shapes, branches, roots and stages of bloom.
Initially we wanted the front of the console in glass
so as to be looking into a window thru a rose bush.
But the art of the hand forged piece was so good
its reflection in the glass was a distraction, making the piece busy.
So we ended with our original design intention of making the console
the canvas of the sculptured rose tree.
