Designer Notes:

We designed this piece for comfortable, easy living.
A coffee table to rest your feet, serve as food tray, sit,
put your reading materials and the TV/CD/VCR/remote controls.
Rugged enough to survive food debris, liquid spills, dirty shoes,
normal living wear and tear plus the unexpected.
That goal required upholstering with distressed leather
which looks “old money” when new and grows richer with use and abuse.
Then we worked the conceptual size, height and proportions:
wide enough to sit or eat comfortably,
long enough to be in front irrespective of where one sat in the sofa.
We wanted it more warm than slick modern so we gave it rounded mahogany legs,
brass tacked the upholstery to the also mahogany base and finished the table
in a rich roasted-coffee color for contrast with it’s naturally distressed leather hue.
