Designer's Notes:

Every islander has childhood memories of the cane and wood living room sets...
sofas, rocking and easy chairs ... made by the local artisan.
So well made the pieces seemed eternal and provided us with
a sense of place every time we went back to visit.
So our interpretation of cane and mahogany pieces were among our very first designs.
Research showed us many contemporary spaces furnished with such antiques,
in spite of their beauty and tropical acclimation, were more show than functional.
Why?
Poor ergometrics.
We recaptured its essence and elegance while making it comfortable.
