Here is a very splendid set of three Ao-kutani (blue kutani) bowls dating from the Meiji period (1868-1912). Each bowl is signed Kutani Shoza, but I believe they were only inspired by the great artist and are not his work. Kutani Shoza (1816-1883) was a craftsman who contributed greatly to the revival and popularity of Kutani wares within Japan and abroad.
