Chinese Han Dynasty Jar

This wonderful jar was made during the earlier part of the Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). Its amazing greenish blue color comes from a lead based ash glaze, common for burial potteries in the Northern region of the Han Empire. Time has given the jar a fantastic nacreous patina, and while it bears the visible signs of its age (see pictures), it remains a well preserved and mesmerizing artifact.

Kindly inquire if you have any question.

The jar comes inside two wooden boxes, one of which is a display box with a glass window, made to fit. Dimensions: 10 x 21.5cm (4 x 8.6 in) The listed price includes EMS shipping.
