2.25” Length x 1.175” Width x 1.675” Height Over 80 years old, this figure would have been used as a medicine fetish as well as a house guardian. The Brahman bull has a distinct hump rising from its neck and shoulders. These magically imbued amulets symbolize prosperity and the spiritual world. If you turn them over, you will notice small portions have been scraped off for use in elixirs. This piece has a thickly textured shiny black patina and is in excellent condition.

9.5” Height x 1” Width x 1.5” Depth (2” square base) Carved out of ironwood, this spoon handle from the island of Sumba has a slightly shining reddish-brown patina. The handle is at least 40 years old. The figure features a smiling face and a symmetrical body in the traditional Sumbanese posture. The stand was custom designed to fit the contours of the handle.

5.25” Height x 1.125” Width x 1” Dept. This fetish, carved from horn, is from Borneo and at least 70 years old. Dayak tribes carved these figures to hold magical or spiritual powers. This figure has a heart-shaped face and sits in the traditional knees-up crouching pose. The cylindrical body has a dark dense high sheen patina.

This ironwood component of a Sumbanese weaving tool is estimated to be 70 years old. The heart-shaped round face has an adorable childlike expression. The piece has a dark patina with rich red tones with four holes; two at the arms and 2 through the midsection. The steel custom-made base is included.
