A fine root wood figure depicting an aged Daoist Immortal, holding a ruyi scepter in one hand and standing on a high rock surrounded by waves in an imaginary sea . The head of the Immortal is partly carved while the body and partly the stand are naturally shaped. Made of two parts fixed together. Ming Dynasty, 17th cent. H. 20,5 cm. Condition: very good patina with some wear .

Rare Daoist images depicting four of the Eight Immortals (baxian) made of padded, colored silk. Mounted on felt. Textile figures of this kind are relatively rare, especially when in good condition. Framed in old gilt frame under glass. Late Qing Dynasty, probably Guangxu. H. 56 cm, W. 38 cm (picture frame). Condition: Excellent. The silk still with fresh colors.

A fine and quite large chaire (tea container) made of Seto type ceramic. It has an ivory lid. H. 9 cm, D. 6,5 cm. Late Edo to early Meiji, 19th cent. Condition: the chaire is perfect, the ivory lid has some wear to to age.

An interesting hanging scroll (kakemono) painted in monochrome ink on paper depicting a landscape with a herdsman and water buffalos in the fields. The style and topic is closely reminiscent of work by members of the Kano school. Unsigned, but sealed. Edo, 17th cent. Probably remounted during the 18th cent. Knobs in original tooth. Picture-frame: H 102 cm, W 38.5 cm. Condition: Very good given the age (minor wear and some creases).

In the center a white crane ( lusi) perched on a rock among waves, while looking toward a bright red sun disk with clouds in the sky. Silk thread, counted stitches tecnique done a extremely refine way. H. 21 x 23, 5 cm. Qing, 18th to early 19th cent. Perfect condition.

The image is made of fragrant sandalwood, decorated with. staffing in gold. Signed: Chusei. Meiji, 19th cent. H 16 cm (box), H 10 cm (image). Condition: Fine with a few minor losses.

A very rare set of sex toys including two dildos in finely made turtle shell, in different sizes and two ‘tinkling balls’ in brass. Fitted kiri-box. All pieces with separate boxes inside. The larger dildo with inscribed box giving a Shinto-style designation as ‘Shape of the Imperial Way’s Ancestral Spirit’ and indications of its use. Japan, Edo period, probably around 1800. 1) H 14 cm, 2) 11.5 H cm, 3) balls each D 1.7 cm. Condition: Fair. Both dildos with insect holes.
