A large, lobed charger of Longquan ware in heavy stoneware in the characteristic light, green glaze. Impressed ‘rays’ in the outside and inside walls. A flower pattern in the bottom of the mirror. Ming, ca. 1480/1500. H 6.5 cm, D. 34 cm. Condition: Quite good all-over. Considerable wear to surface due to use and two old, filed chips to bottom of foot rim. No repairs or cracks.

A large and beautiful celadon charger of heavy porcelain of the celebrated longquan-type (Zhejiang). Impressed design of stylized peonies in the center and incised, scroll pattern on the sides of the well. China, Ming, 15th cent. Diameter: 35.5 cm, H. 7.5cm. Condition: Very good. Wear from use all-over, one chip (filed smooth) on bottom rim.
