A very charming painting of the Mountain God (Sansin) accompanied by his tiger and an young acolyte. In the tree above a magpie. Colors and ink on coarse silk. Framed, Korean-style behind glass. Korea, Choson, 19th cent. H 51 cm, W 32 cm (picture frame). Condition: very fine all-over.
A small oil bottle decorated w. an olive-green celadon-type glaze. Small, under-glaze mishima inlays in dark, green clay in the shape of flowers. Late Koryo, 12–13th cent. H 4 cm, D 7 cm. Condition: Mouth w. chips and old, slightly crude, repair (see pic.).
