MASAO Ido (b. 1945), a well established contemporary Japanese artist, known for his Kyoto scenes, landscapes, cats. Here Masao is depicting the small but beautiful “Karesansui” garden (dry or rock ) from Shoden-ji, a quiet and charming old temple in the northern part of Kyoto. The name of the temple is given on the lower left corner . Artist’s seal and signature with pencil. 77/150. Oban size: H. 26 x W. 38 cm (H. 45 x W. 57 cm with frame). Beautifully framed under glass. Good condition.

Yoshida Toshi (1911–1995), large wood-block print part of the series “four seasons, birds & flowers”, sold trough Franklin Mint Gallery in the States. This is one of the ”Spring birds” from 1982. Signed in Japanese on the lower right corner; signed Toshi and artist’s seal on the left lower side together with the work’s title ”Flying on the plum tree”. H. 50 cm, W. 29,5 cm. Framed under glass. Perfect condition.
