A fine and rare brushpot (bitong) of porcelain decorated with a landscape in polychrome enamels. Featuring a poetic impression entitled: Hongshou shan zhuang (Villages in Mt. Hongshou). Signed: Wang Ting = Wang Yeting (1884–1942). Exceptionally well painted and with fine details. China, Republican Period (Minguo) ca. 1930. H 14 cm, D 10 cm. Condition: Very good, but with two minor, almost imperceptible, chips to bottom rim ( 1,5-2mm circa).

An interesting, heavily sculpted vase of stoneware in the shape of a “pilgrim flask” covered all-over in an attractive dark-blue glaze that runs thin at the upper edges. Signed Kawai Hikishi (b. 1944), a student of the world-famous Japanese ceramic artist Kawai Kanjiro (1890–1966), one of the leading forces in the Mingei Movement started by Bernard Leach and Hamada Shoji. Accompanied by a signed kiri-box. Made ca. 1975. H 20 cm, W 16.5 cm. Condition: Perfect

A very elegant and pretty, small ikebana basket for flower arrangement, made of finely woven bamboo in traditional form with a large, double-handle. Exquisite quality with the use of very narrow slivers of toned, bamboo. Together with the original, black, lacquered insert of bamboo. Signed Jin in the bottom. Morigami Jin (b. 1955). Original carton box with original papers. H 37 cm, W 20 cm. Condition: Perfect.

Bottle shaped vase of porcelain with an attractive decoration consisting of stylized scroll-pattern in a pinkish, under glaze red. Made by the potter Tanaka Ikko (b. 1934), one of the most famous porcelain makers of studio pieces in contemporary Japan. Tanaka is usually known for delicate pieces in thin porcelain. Participated in numerous exhibitions and various national art competitions. Showa, c. 1980. H 23 cm, D 8 cm. Condition: Perfect.
