An unusual and very rare vase of stoneware by the famous Danish designer and ceramic maker Christian Joachim (1870–1943).* The twisted vase, which has been made to turn clock-wise, is covered in a thick, red-purplish, running glaze. Signed in the bottom: Joachim for Royal Copenhagen and the number S. 501. Ca. 1907–8. H 21 cm. Condition: Very fine (minor scratches due to age). A very attractive and rare lidded jar of heavy stone ware decorated w. red and blue glazes running purple. Lid decorated w. a large crab. Signed: Gunnar Nylund (1904–1987) for Bing & Groendal, Copenhagen. Made during the 1930s, when Nylund’s creativity was at a peak. A real collector’s item. H 15 cm, D 12 cm. Condition: Perfect.

A rare and impressive stoneware figure of a jackal (wild dog) sitting on its haunches while chewing on a bone. Covered with an attractive light brown and bluish, grey glaze that runs at certain places in a harmonious manner. Signed: Knud Max Moeller for B&G (Bing and Groendahl).
