An unusual and very rare vase of stoneware by the famous Danish designer and ceramic maker Christian Joachim (1870–1943).* The twisted vase, which has been made to turn clock-wise, is covered in a thick, red-purplish, running glaze. Signed in the bottom: Joachim for Royal Copenhagen and the number S. 501. Ca. 1907–8. H 21 cm. Condition: Very fine (minor scratches due to age).

A very nice shoe-shaped tea bowl of ceramic partly covered in iron-brown glaze with traces of black. Signed: So’an . Japan, late Edo ca. 1850. H 7.5 cm, L 13.5 cm. Condition: Excellent, but with an original firing flaw on upper part of inside well.
A fine, round ivory seal-paste box, decorated on the lid with a scholar and his attendant in a landscape. Signed “ WU YI”. Late Qing Dynasty. D. 4 cm. Good condition, one short hair-line on the side of the lid.
A Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze image of Amitayus (Wuliangshou Fo) with exceptionally fine details. Remains of colors to hair, mouth and eyes. Sealed. Inlays lost. Together w. a later, fitted base in dark wood. Heavy. High 19,5 cm without wooden base. Qing, late 18th to early 19th cent. (late Qianlong–Jiaqing periods). Condition: Excellent, minimal wear but w. a slightly weak gilding. Price on request.

A Sino-Tibetan style , gold lacquered wood figure depicting Sakyamuni Buddha in “ Dharmacakra Mudra”, the gesture of setting in motion the Wheel of Low or teaching mudra. The ushnisa is perfectly rendered; very nice expression and details. Bottom still fully sealed. H. 16,5 cm. China, 18th cent. second half of Qianlong period, 1760–94. H 16.5 cm. Condition: Very good. No breaks or losses. Minor wear to gold due to handling.
A fine and elegant brush rest (bi’jia) made of bronze in a contorted shape of a scholar’s rock. Together with fitted stand of old tieli wood. Qing, around 1800. H 7.8 cm, L 10.5 cm. (without base). Condition: Perfect. Very nice wear.
Large-size incense-box (kogo) of ivory in a nice rounded design. Opens in two with a finely carved thread. The inside with gold lacquer on black ground (a small piece of natural fragrant incense wood included). Fitted, old silk purse. Late Edo–early Meiji, 19. cent. H 3,5 cm, D 8 cm. Condition: Very fine. Wear to lacquer inside. No chips or cracks.
