A very nice, small but well cast coppery bronze incense burner standing on 3 legs. The side "handles" in shape of lion masks and legs are parcel gilt. Incise Buddhist patterns. Sino-Tibetan or Sino-Mongolian, 18/19th cent. H. 9,5 cm x D. 12 cm. Good Condition with just minor wear.

A mandorla of hammered, open-work, gilt copper-repoussé backed with canvas. It is decorated with the images of the Sixteen Arhats and two larger images in the bottom center depicting a bodhisattva and an Arhat holding the pilgrim staff. Each figure with the face in cold gilt. Tibet, 16th cent. H 21 cm, W 20 cm. Condition: Very good (wear due to age). It is a real antique piece, not a modern copy!

A large, attractive and unique flower base or receptacle to be used for irises or orchids made of a partially carved piece of natural root wood. The top rim has been carved with undulating scroll-pattern, much of it in openwork. An interesting and somewhat unusual piece for the scholar’s table. Nice wear and patina. China, Qing, early to mid-19th cent. H 18 cm, W 30 cm. Condition: Fair, some cracks and minor losses.

A large and heavily thrown charger of a Satsuma-like, soft-paste ware decorated in polychrome enamel colors in high relief with an amusing rendering of the Seven Gods of Good Luck in animated play over two wrestling rats. Signed: Shōge, Yokohama. Japan, late Meiji, ca. 1900. H 6 cm, D 36.5 cm. Condition: Good (no chips or breaks), but some wear due to age and use.

A very fine Wanli period, deep, lobed bowl in blue & white porcelain decorated with a “jardiniere” in the inside bottom and cartouches with fruits and flowers on the inside rim. The bowl is of rather thin porcelain with the characteristic ‘sun ray’ pattern in the bottom. Ming Dynasty, Wanli-Period (1572-1619). H 6.5 cm, D 20.5 cm. Good condition.

A very attractive small, onion-shaped Satsuma vase delicately decorated with a flower/ikebana basket containing different flowers and plants. The upper part of the neck with a circular band consisting of a geometric flower pattern. Satsuma mark and signature: Kizan (?). Japan, Meiji, ca. 1900. H 12.5 cm, D 8 cm. Condition: Very good (minor wear to gold).

A finely carved pair of coconut bowls with inserts of pure silver (with silver stamps). Decorated on the corpus with good-luck symbols and the attributes of the Eight Immortals. Both with a later Danish owner’s inscription reading: “G. Kina 24/12/1925.” China, Qing, 19th cent. most probably Daoguang period. H 5.5 cm, D 13 cm. Condition: Perfect.

A very rare and interesting, Buddhist bronze ewer (kundika) in classical form w. rounded, oblong body, a short sprout and a long neck. Lid for the opening. There are three circling bands, two on the body and one on the neck. The sprout set with a raised lotus pattern. The piece is of relatively heavy casting and with remains of leaf gilding on black surface. A superb piece and a serious collector’s item.
