The image has been done in a slightly compressed style w. broad face and a tiara with the top knot ending in a vajra.The Buddha holds the vajra and bell crossed in front of his chest in the characteristic attitude. Beautiful votive image of gilt bronze depicting Akshobya, the Buddha of the Eastern Direction, seated on an unusual double-layered lotus throne. In front of the Buddha is a vajra, the attribute of Akshobya.The Buddha’s robe has been engraved with detailed patterns along the borders as well as on the under-garment (dhoti). An interesting and rare votive image of coloured wood depicting Naro-dakini, the consort of the Mahasiddha Naropa. She is standing on two recumben corpses (Shiva and Mahadevi) drinking from her skull-cup (kapala) while holding the vajra-chopper in the right hand. She wears the garland of skulls around her neck. Behind is a large oval mandorla with flaming edges. Tibet, 18th cent. (possible even older). H 22 X 17 cm. Condition: Good w. natural wear and a few minor chips to edges.

A small but very charming gilt bronze image of the bodhisattva Sadakshari Avalokitesvara seated in the characteristic posture. The upper pair of hands hold a rosary (mala) and a lotus flower respectively, while the lower pair of hands are joined in front of the chest in the anjali-mudra, the gesture of greeting. Face with delicately done cold gilding. Later re-closed. Tibet, 16–17th. cent. H 8,5 cm. Condition: Very good, but w. some wear to gilding.

Ritual cards (tsagli) w. tempera colors on hard, coarse paper depicting a lineage of nine important lamas belonging to the Bon religion. Each tsagli bears a lengthy text for recitation as well as the name of the respective lama depicted. 19th cent. H 16,5 cm, W 11.5 cm. Condition: Quite good w. minor wear.

Votive image in blackish-purple sandal-wood (zitan) of the important Bon lama Namye (the Peerless) Sherab Gyaltsen (1356–1416), great scholar and organizer of the monastic life of the Bonpo; he is the founder of the monastery of Menri located between Lhasa and Shigatze in Central Tibet in 1405. He is here depicted w. the special Bön crown and from his two hands emanate a pair of lotuses on which are a sword and a holy book respectively.
