Minton 19th century blue and white porcelain soup tureen, England. Fine painted details of a river landscape,and elegant branch handle with foliage enhanced with gilt. Lovely ribbed lid and wonderful form typical of outstanding Minton wares. Dimensions: 14 Inches. Condition: Excellent no damage, no restoration. Some rubbing to gilt on lid, appropriate for period. note: I failed to photo the large oval plate, which is in excellent condition. Also have a white porcelain ladle which I will include. A rare and early Qing dynasty basin, with famille rose border and unusual figural details, of a Mandarin noblewoman, figural personages possibly portraying a legend, iron red bats to the interior. The basin dates to late 18th century hand painted with unusual interior details in grayed palette to the Chinese taste, rather than for export. *Please see a similar color palette on a basin sold recently in last photo, my listing number 490657. Here is a hard to find pair of tall 19th century Rose Mandarin Vases. The large 11 3/4" vases have well painted famille rose details, and indentions on rims. The vases are highlighted by foo dog handles, applied lizard scrolls. Vases are in very fine condition, with normal wear for the period. There is one minor under rim chip, minor glaze losses. Ivory Cheroot or small necessary case, early 19th century China. The stunning elephant tusk ivory box is perfect in every way, with no damage or discoloration, and is signed on the interior rim by the artist. The workmanship is incredible, with minute delicate carving that looks like the finest hand made lace intertwined with a serpent like dragon. The back of the case has a central cartouche for the owners initial, yours Unbelievable, but no breaks or chips.. I specialize in fine Chinese and French ivory. This is a masterpiece, and photos do not do justice to the carving. Dimensions: 3.25 x 2.25
