REDWARE SGRAFFITO BOWL or DEEP PLATE, in early original dry buttermilk paint. Finely detailed sgraffito (inscribed) with a central motif of a polychromed bird and fruit. Multi colored border details in bold primary colors create a striking display plate.
The bowl is early 19th century. Hand thrown and unglazed. About 14 inches in diameter. A very classical and unusual bowl. Although purchased in Pennsylvania, the bowl may be of English manufacture.

CONDITION: Very good. A few frits and minor flakes. All original, no repaint or repairs
