Here is an exceptionally crafted PRUNUS (plum) BLOSSOM blue and white tea pot and four tea bowls, painted in fine underglaze blue, cracked ice patterned reminiscent of the finest Kangxi .The style is subtle, refined and elegant to the Chinese taste.
The quality of the porcelain, the well defined painting and cobalt color appear to be period KANGXI workmanship. The four cups bear a blue circle typical of Kangxi on the under base, and I would like to say this is of the period, but I believe it is mid 19th century, due to the condition of the wood on the handle which could be a replacement. This is a spectacular tea set, and you will love it.
Dimensions: Teapot 6" Height
7 1/2" Width
Cups 3 1/4" Width
2 1/2 Height
Condition: Excellent, no damage, slight wear to bases of pot
