Ivory Fan from France, mid 19th century with hand painted 24 KT gilt and sterling foil florals and birds, with a delicately painted scroll motif. The 18 ivory ribs are held together with an immaculate lacy white French ribbon. The fan is in pristine condition, truly museum quality.
