A rare and early Qing dynasty basin, with famille rose border and unusual figural details, of a Mandarin noblewoman, figural personages possibly portraying a legend, iron red bats to the interior.
The basin dates to late 18th century hand painted with unusual interior details in grayed palette to the Chinese taste, rather than for export.

I have had this charming small early tole kettle for years. Purchased at the Brimfield Massachusetts sale back in the 1970's.
All original old paint, original bail handle... great in the kitchen or by fireplace with matches or a candle.
