This early KUTANI bowl is an exceptionally fine and highly detailed work of art. Painted in "Rouge De Fer" with gilt accents the bowl has strong KUTANI details with well executed figurals and landscape views in the cavettos. The porcelain body has a fine small krackle finish on a grayed body presenting a total Japanese feel yet the coloration will blend with your Chinese Imari or Rouge De Fer as well.
The enamels are particularly well executed in the interior as well as the exterior. Indeed, a special signed Kutani porcelain.
Dimensions: Diameter 7 1/2"(19cm) Height 3 1/2"(9cm) Condition: Very good. There is a small area in the under glaze on exterior which was possibly rubbed prior to firing. there are a few pin head pits in the glaze. This is typical in works of this age.

A fine and early 19th century Lacquer on wood bowl. This is indeed a rare find,a treasure for the most discerning collector of fine Japanese Lacquer. The bowl is thin wood, with very fine lacquer and beautifully detailed paintings of Morning Glories and Birds.
This lovely bowl dates to the mid 1800's, possibly earlier and is in excellent condition. Dimensions: 9"(22.50cm) Condition: Dry, as found, no damages, normal wear for the period.

An unusual mustard ground is the backdrop for the lovely handpainted vignette panels in this beautifully detailed SATSUMA earthenware bowl. The corners of the bowl are canted, giving the bowl a foliate or flower shape and the exterior floral decorations are well painted creating a full exterior motif as striking as the interior floral rim and vignettes. The bowl displays beautifully and is special collectors piece. Dimensions: 8 1/2"(21.50cm) Width 3 3/4"(9.50cm) Height Condition: Excellent, no damage. The bowl dates to mid 19th century Meji period and is unsigned.

Here is a beautifully decorated soft palette Imari Kutani cream server or small pitcher with a lovely landscape (sansui) scene of pastoral views as well as people. The polychrome details are subtle, but beautifully painted. The pitcher is signed on the base. Fine rim details highlight this charming server, which dates to late 19th century
